| weibel, 18 months ago happy holidays. I'm in a ski cabin with no wi-fi which means i have resorted to desk top editing. boooooooooo. i'm using iMovie. it 's kind of fun to compare and contrast and there are definately some features we will be adding to jumpcut. My big issue is how big of a pain in the ass it is to export/render from iMovie. I've become so used to skipping this step. My real issue is choosing a setting that looks good and is still in the realm of uploadable file sizewise . I either spit out a 400 MB file or something that looks like poop once it's retranscoded on upload. What settings do you use? i don't like any of the suggested settings because they are 12 or 15 frames/ sec. jumpcut plays back 30 frames. I go to advanced and tried MP4. it gave me 6 MB files , but they look bad. Well it 's nice to be on vacation, and i'll have lots of video to play with when i get back. let me know anything tips and tricks you want to share and have a happy holiday. steve | |
 | ryan, 18 months ago weibel, use 320x240 minimum, 500 kbps, 30 fps. You may have to keep the bitrate down closer to 500 if you are having file size issues. (Sorry this is such a late response :) | |
